The Coral
In the morning (video)
The Coral are an English rock band, formed in 1996 in Hoylake on the Wirral Peninsula, Merseyside.[1] The band emerged during the early 2000s.[2] Their 2002 debut album The Coral, from which came the single "Dreaming of You", was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize[3] and listed as the fourth best album of the year by NME Magazine.[4] Their second album, Magic and Medicine (2003), produced four UK Top 20 singles, including "Pass It On". In 2008, after guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones left the band, they continued as a five-piece.

Explaining the style and how it can help my work
This video was created by videoing the video as a normal video but then, the editors cut the video into just the frames (the individual images that create the video) then they printed them out and with a team (including the band members) pained over the frames and then scanned them into a computer and put them into a video editing software and produced the video out of the frames.
I think this style can help me in my project because the video and the colours in the frame match the words being said, this will help me because a lot of modern music have a significant beat that goes through out so i will be able to form the video around the music. The style will also help as the viewer can clearly tell that the whole video has been painted over and it is attractive to the eyes.

Information about sequence photography
A sequence photo is the deconstruction of a moving subject within the same image. It's a particularly interesting technique to portray a sports figure: ski and snowboard jumps, skating, etc. The results are always impressive, especially for rapid, acrobatic winter sports.
These aren't just the only place that sequence photography takes place, during film production (mainly marvel and DC movies) they use a thing called CGI (computer-generated imagery (special visual effects created using computer software) to go frame by frame to create special effects. (I will not include CGI into my project)

How the Coral technique will be in my project
The coral technique will be used in my project as i can manipulate things that wont be there for example clouds in the sky or a grass floor. I will be able to make a video that when pained will be more interesting than just the normal video. Also the painting style is unusual and look attractive when it is pulled off right.
The paint work will be easy as if i mess up i can always just re-print and paint again.

The work of Ben Heine
Ben was born in 1983 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. where he spent the first seven years of his life, with his parents and three sisters. His family relocated in Brussels, Belgium, in 1990. His father was a commercial engineer and his mother a choreographer and a dance teacher. Heine started drawing at 11 years of age. At that time, his curiosity for visual art was his keenest interest.
Between 1988 and 2006, Heine undertook studies in different countries, including Ivory Coast, Belgium, the UK and the Netherlands. He attended primary school at Notre Dame de La Trinité in Brussels. As a student, Heine easily became frustrated and bored, often becoming difficult to manage in school. It wasn't until he attended secondary education at "Collège Saint Vincent" in Belgium that he evolved into a more disciplined student. As a teenager, he explored drawing, painting and writing poetry to music and athletics.

Initial photographic research
The Part of Photography that inspires me
The artworks in this series usually show a hand-drawn 2D sketch held and photographed by the artist in a specific location. They combine photography and drawing to infuse ordinary scenes with new surreal, visionary, or romanticized narratives. The inclusion of hand-held penciled sketches over a portion of the original photos allows Heine to enhance reality and open doors to an imaginary world.Heine brought some innovations to the concept in 2012 adding colors and black paper. Between 2010 and 2016, Heine's creations have been seen by the people through the exhibitions and news articles in major media outlets. Heine's first Pencil Vs Camera's images quickly gained popularity online and received positive criticisms from specialized and influential art sites along with news reports and international opportunities for the artist.
Some of primary and secondary public schools that are teaching Heine's Pencil Vs Camera concept are "International School of Beijing", "ColegioMenor in Quito", "Dover College", "Ecole Lamartine", "Ecole de Scorbé-Clairvaux","Ecole Renaudeau", "Collège La Bruyère Sainte Isabelle" and others. Since 2012, many other creators and artists have borrowed from Heine's innovations to create various forms of similar 3D artworks.

How I plan to move forward
Im going to go take some initial images for a short animation then put that into a video editing and make the test video with nothing being done with it. Then i am going to make the same video but i would have printed the frames off and painted over them using the "in the morning" technique with my own spin on it (this will only be a test and will not be my final animation for the project). Then i will do the same with Ben Heines technique.
The initial images for the test animation
The test plain animation
How did the animation turn out
The initial animation came out better than expected, the video ran smooth but it was also nit too smooth so that the viewer could see that the animation was a animation. The weather held up so no ones cloths blew in the wind enough to notice and the shadows from the clouds did not mess with the lighting of the video.
How to make a stop frame animation using a editing software
Open the software with frames ready.
Select all of the frames from the selection part of the software.
Choose the format, resolution and rate of the video
Drag all the frames to the project bar at the bottom of the soft ware.
Change the time of each frame to about 0.015 of a second to make the video smooth.
Export the video to a device or burn it on a CD and you're done.
My animation in the style of Ben Heines photography
I chose Ben Heine as the photographer to follow as his work mixes the reality of the normal world with the world of imagination and how perspectives can change.
The frames for the Ben Heine animation
How to create a Photograph in the style of Ben Heine
Open the image in photoshop
duplicate the layer
make the botton layer black and white
then use the coloured pencil filter to turn the bottom layer into a drawing
use the eraser tool to delete the top layer to expose the bottom layer
flatten the image can save

The Final Test Animation
To make this effect I had to take the images for the animation (frames) I then printed them off and painted over the top of them, I then scanned them into a computer and tones them in photoshop so the colours had a good balance was there was a clear view point.
